Nicky Aerial Yoga and Yoga Instructor

Hi I’m Nicky, a Yoga Teacher and Personal Trainer based on the South Coast between the beautiful Bournemouth seaside and the tranquility of the New Forest. From a grounding in mat-based classes to flying in Aerial Yoga, I share the wonderful practice of yoga from my heart, for everyone. I love helping others to feel happy & healthy, and I hope to be able to make a difference in your life.

I completed my yoga teacher training at the Himalaya Yoga Valley in Goa, India giving me a strong foundation in traditional techniques and poses. After discovering Aerial Yoga, I decided to train as an Aerial Yoga instructor, successfully completing 250 hours of training. I also hold a Level 3 Personal Training qualification and love helping people work on their fitness and nutrition.

My classes are suitable for all levels and abilities, with options being given throughout the practice so you can personalise to your needs. I always say the most important thing in yoga is to listen to your own body, knowing when you can push yourself further and when to ease back. There is so much more to yoga than just the asanas (physical practice) too, so there will be something that works for you wherever you are at. Aerial Yoga

Aerial yoga is a fun and playful way to deepen your yoga practice and safely explore inversions. Perfectly complementing other styles of yoga, aerial has a huge amount of benefits.

Classes are based around traditional yoga postures, using the fabric to help support your body weight. This allows for a greater range of movement and also the magic of zero compression inversions. The hammock gives a feeling of weightlessness, creating space through your whole spine. There are also lots of creative and fun tricks to play with as you build your confidence, so you can truly embrace your inner acrobat!

Private 121 Yoga Sessions

Private one-to-one Yoga Sessions – Studio and Via Zoom.

I also offer private one-to-one sessions, or small group sessions. Ideal if you’re new to yoga and would like to spend some time building confidence in the practice before joining a class. Or maybe you’re an experienced yogi looking to deepen your practice and focus on alignment in a personalised class. Also, this could be a great option for you if you struggle to make the typical studio schedules.

I hold weekly livestream yoga sessions from my home studio in Christchurch Bournemouth. Everyone is welcome to join me in the evenings for relaxing bedtime yoga or a more energetic yoga for fitness fanatics.

Yoga can be a great team building experience for employees at your company. I can offer yoga sessions tailored to help corporate clients relax on their lunch breaks or unwind after a hard day at the office.

I also offer company retreats suitable for beginners and experts. From a half hour uplifting lunchtime reset & recharge to longer sessions including meditation, breathwork and a personalised physical practice.

Nicola’s online yoga classes came into my life at a time when we were in lockdown and I was feeling mentally and physically exhausted. I joined Nicola’s zoom yoga classes during lockdown as a way to gain some “me time” in a world where normality disappeared for a while.

I have always been interested in yoga but never had the confidence or ability to join a group and attend regularly. Nicola makes each class unique and will support with any difficulties you have within any of the positions. Her ability to describe the moves so clearly means you don’t have to break your neck looking to see how or what she is doing (even when new to the practice) and and her calming nature helps even the biggest over thinker settle in for the relaxation and meditation.

I would highly recommend any of her classes and am looking forward to being part of them in the future

I was very fortunate to hear about Wild Heart & Yoga Fitness just after lockdown started. I was unable to do do my Hydroactive lesson and was beginning to get quite stiff. So to be able to do Yoga via Zoom in the comfort of my own home was great. Nicola had set up her studio from home due the Covid crisis. After a one to one chat I joined in her class once a week. Nicola offered a variety of classes at various times. I felt more flexible for joining in. So whatever your level give her classes a try. I would recommend it to everyone.
